With deep technical expertise in pulse-based wideband RF/non-RF communications, RADAR systems, and advanced signal processing, we focus on solving complex challenges in remote RF powering, energy harvesting, and battery-free sensor networks. These capabilities enable DSI to deliver high-performance wireless solutions in scenarios where conventional systems fail.
DSI has successfully led and contributed to federally funded R&D initiatives for agencies such as the Department of Energy (DOE), National Science Foundation (NSF), Department of Defense (DoD), and Department of Homeland Security (DHS). One of DSI’s key achievements is the development of reliable wireless communications systems for use in extreme environments, including nuclear facilities. These systems have closed longstanding technology gaps in wireless sensor and video transmission, allowing secure data to be communicated through thick, reinforced concrete structures and RF-hostile shielding materials—capabilities that are vital to nuclear facilities.
In parallel, our ultra-wideband, pulse-based RF systems have enabled novel communications, tracking, and sensing solutions for the U.S. Army, Navy, and other defense stakeholders, providing operational advantages in urban, subterranean, maritime, and combat settings where electromagnetic interference or structural complexity hinders traditional RF links.
